Dr Sally Baker appointed Senior Research Fellow

The Gonski Institute for Education is delighted to announce that Dr Sally Baker will be joining our team as a Senior Research Fellow. Sally is a Lecturer in the School of Education at UNSW Sydney and will be sharing her time between the two roles.

Sally’s research focuses on issues of equity in higher education, with her main interests being education policy, experiences of students from refugee, culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds and educational transitions. She is currently the Co-Chair of the Refugee Education Special Interest Group and the Education focal point in the Forced Migration Research Network at UNSW Sydney.

As the recipient of a number of prestigious external grants from bodies such as the National Centre for Student Equity in Higher Education, Australian Government Higher Education Participation Program and the Australian Government Office for Learning and Teaching, Sally is a leading contributor to the body of academic research on equity in higher education.

Sally’s first project with the Gonski Institute for Education is an Open Access Annotated Bibliography (OAAB) series, which can be found in the research section of this website.
