Leading for Educational Change

This workshop will generate deep discussion with school leaders about research-based practice in schools and systems. School leaders will have the opportunity to reflect on their school-based practice and leadership and explore possibilities for meaningful change.

The day includes the following:

  • Learning from Global Leaders and Systems: Principles of successful education systems and policy around the world.

  • Leading Change in Classrooms: Teacher practices, authentic models of success from school leaders, and the research-base on effective approaches to learning.

  • Leading for Equity: Changing practice through collaboration and networks within and beyond your school.

 

Presentations on these topics will be given by Professor Pasi Sahlberg, Professor Adrian Piccoli, Lila Mularczyk OAM, Tracey Breese and Lee-Ann Saurins. 

This course is designed to be attended with a team of leaders in your school (classroom teachers, executive teams, Principals, Directors and system leaders).

This course is accredited by the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) for 6 hours of professional learning at Lead Teacher level. Standards addressed: 1.3, 3.7, 5.5., 7.1, 7.3, 7.4
